CEBA Loan Repayment DeadlineOn July 24, the London Chamber of Commerce signed on to a letter sent to The Honourable Chrystia Freeland in regards to a request for an extension on Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) loan repayments. Nearly 900,000 CEBA loans were granted to small business loans throughout the pandemic and provided these businesses with up to $60,000 interest-free. The unemployment rate also continues to hold at 5% which is exceptional considering the record low unemployment rate is 4.9%.
