The City of London, London Chamber of Commerce and Green Economy London are hosting a Business Sustainability Webinar on November 14 (Noon to 1:00pm), focusing on the circular economy and its influence on businesses in London and the surrounding areas. The event will feature insights from the Circular Innovation Council representatives, an organization designed to promote and support economic, environmental and social goals simultaneously.
Jo-Anne St.Godard - Executive Director, Circular Innovation Council
Jo-Anne is the executive director of Circular Innovation Council (formerly known as Recycling Council of Ontario), a prominent national environmental non-profit charity since 2001. With over 25 years of experience in public policy design, corporate strategy, compliance, research, and pilot innovations, she is dedicated to accelerating Canada’s transition toward a circular economy.
Jo-Anne has collaborated with senior levels of government and business, fostering unique private and public sector partnerships to advance policies and practices that aim to achieve carbon emissions and waste reduction objectives. She has spearheaded and designed numerous public programs and campaigns with her team that engage, educate, and empower.
Andrew Telfer - Director, Circular Opportunity Innovation Launchpad (COIL), Circular Innovation Council
Andrew is currently the director of Circular Opportunity Innovation Launchpad (COIL) at Circular Innovation Council, a national non-profit organization that advances the circular economy across Canada. Before joining CIC, he held various business and sustainability roles, including executive director at the Smart Cities Office at the City of Guelph. The Office built and led significant circular economy initiatives such as Our Food Future and COIL.
Andrew is an accomplished public speaker on sustainability, circular economy, and climate action and how they intersect with business strategy. He is a proud honouree of Canada’s Clean50. Andrew holds a degree in geography from the University of British Columbia.
Alix Robinson - Program Coordinator - Green Economy London
Alix is the Program Coordinator at Green Economy London, a program of the London Environmental Network that supports local businesses to set and achieve sustainability goals. Alix has worked with diverse businesses and community groups to promote greenhouse gas reductions, waste diversion, and water conservation. By leading members through key sustainability milestones, identifying cost and energy savings opportunities, and supporting environmental projects, she helps build workplace capacity for lasting environmental impact.
