November is Climate Action Month! The London Chamber of Commerce and the City of London have partnered to share valuable insights on climate change mitigation, adaptation, and environmental sustainability with the Chamber and its members.

Panel Speakers:

Allison Miller: Allison Miller, Senior Transportation Demand Manager at the City of London, has been working in the fields of active and sustainable transportation for over 20 years. Her work includes promoting and implementing programs offering transportation options to all Londoners, with a focus on the environmental benefits. Allison has a Master’s degree in City Planning from the University of Manitoba, and is a registered Planner in Ontario. Allison tries to walk the talk: her first vehicle purchase was a bicycle, she walks to work, and she enjoys being chauffeured by public transit.

 

Margarita Jaramillo - LEN: Margarita, Sustainable Building Coordinator at the London Environmental Network, is passionate about creating a healthy, sustainable environment for all. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy from Brunel University London (UK), and a postgraduate degree in Environmental Law (COL). With approximately 12 years of experience in the sustainability field, her work includes supporting Green Economy London members with carbon accounting and advising London residents on home retrofits and residential sustainability. Her primary objective is to guide businesses and homeowners in preventing and minimizing environmental impacts, and she has extensive experience implementing environmental projects in energy, water, and waste management.
