Our session goal is to empower small to medium businesses to exercise their rights in managing absenteeism of sick or disabled employees. We will review best practices to support business leaders to appropriately manage employee absenteeism related to sickness and disability. Information will be shared related to: what you can ask of an employee on leave, what to do with the information, and how to accommodate and make it work for both of you.

Prior to joining Selectpath Sarah played a key role in developing a new distribution channel for one of the largest Canadian bank-owned insurance organizations. With over 15 years experience in the group benefit industry, she comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience in all areas of group benefits. Her passion is in building relationships and providing innovative solutions, while focusing on the wellbeing of her clients. She is a huge advocate of mental health in the workplace and her background in health sciences and as a certified life coach give her a unique perspective in this industry. She is a mom of 3, spends a lot of time at the hockey rink, and loves to travel.
Chris Sinal - Partner, Siskinds
Chris’ practice is focused particularly on helping clients in human rights matters, WSIB appeals, responding to Occupational Health and Safety charges, as well as wrongful dismissal claims. He also regularly advises clients in addressing union organizing drives, as well as union applications for certification.
