Efua is an associate in our London Health Law and Labour and Employment groups. Her non-traditional pathway to the legal profession, paired with her diverse skill set, allows her to approach each case with a unique perspective.

Efua holds a Master of Public Health degree with a focus in Global Health from Boston University. After completing her degree, she spent two years working with a non-profit organization in rural Haiti. During her time in law school, Efua was an executive member of the Osgoode Health Law Association, and established and held the position of Cultural Outreach Officer; a newly created position within Osgoode’s Black Law Students Association.

George Hamzo is a partner at Lerners LLP in its London office practicing exclusively in the area of labour and employment law. George has expertise in virtually every employment related issue which may arise in the workplace including: human rights issues; workplace investigations; employment standards legislation including the Employment Standards Act, 2000 and the Canada Labour Code; the Occupational Health and Safety Act; employment contracts; and, restrictive covenants including non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. While George has developed a great deal of experience in litigation and can provide valuable representation to his clients in Superior Court, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal and the Ontario Labour Relations Board, he also has a practical and forward-looking approach to employment and labour issues, helping his clients anticipate and resolve workplace issues before they arise

As a lawyer and an accountant, I am able to provide a range of in-depth advice to clients and recommend a strategy that will achieve their goals. I understand the issues and challenges confronting business leaders, government officials, and other professionals. I work with these leaders to develop innovative solutions and a comprehensive plan to address the challenges they face.

Throughout my career, I have sought opportunities and challenges to develop the skills and attributes required to succeed as a trusted business advisor. The experiences afforded through two deployments to Kandahar, Afghanistan as an infantry officer have had a profound impact on my values and perspective. The austere and difficult conditions in which I thrived taught me the importance of team work, integrity, and earning the trust of those you work alongside.  I strive to follow these same principles when working with clients and their other advisors.

Andrew is enthusiastic about entrepreneurship. Practicing since 2017, Andrew understands the issues that can arise when operating a business. Prioritizing the outcomes his clients desire is just part of what makes him a well-respected lawyer in the London area.

Andrew knows running a company isn’t easy. His focus on expanding, strengthening, and protecting companies through advising them on all aspects of corporate law allows him to draft and negotiate agreements that not only get his clients the results they want, but the ones they deserve.

Hilary Leitch is a partner in our Business Law, and Wills and Estates Groups. Her wills and estates practice focuses on estate planning and administration, including business succession planning, and family trusts. Her practice focuses on the preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney, and the administration of estates. Hilary also assists with the creation of trusts, guardianship applications and related matters.

Mark McAuley is an Associate in the Business Law Group at Lerners LLP in its London office. Mark has represented public and private companies in corporate and commercial transactions. He works tirelessly to provide counsel for his clients on matters including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance transactions, commercial real estate transactions and general corporate matters. Mark has worked with large, and complex clients. He also maintains a passion for growth-oriented opportunities. He has a keen interest in entrepreneurship, technology, and the arts and entertainment sector and aims to provide practical advice to emerging companies as well as established businesses.

Jessica continuously strives to assist her clients by problem solving any challenges they have. She focuses on providing practical, and timely advice. Growing up playing competitive hockey, Jessica learned that the legal arena is very similar to sports. Achieving positive results takes dedication, commitment and precision.
