SUMMARY:z2021 Leading with Grace when Discussing Race (Zoom event)
DESCRIPTION:Discussing issues of race\, diversity\, and inclusion in the workplace may at times feel uncomfortable. But we know that promoting diversity and participating in initiatives like Call to Action #42 are absolutely essential in a competitive business environment. \n\n\n\nIn this webinar with Anti-Racism\, Diversity\, Equity and Inclusion expert\, Rumina Morris\, participants will begin to examine ways in which they can affect change as leaders\, advocates and allies. Using critical self-reflection\, participants will be encouraged to reflect on how their biases may be preventing them from delivering on being an inclusive workplace.\n\n\n\nMeet Rumina! \n\n\n\nRumina Morris provides consulting and coaching services to leaders and organizations who are committed to affecting change. She has spent over 15 years in leadership positions where she has managed diverse teams in the human services sector and currently serves as the City of London's Director of Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression.\n\n\n\nRumina has been a strong advocate for Social Justice and Human Rights and has used her privilege as a leader to draw attention to systemic inequities and demand change.\n\n\n\nA dynamic and engaging individual\, Rumina thrives on lifelong learning and unlearning. By creating space for others to do the same\, Rumina is able to facilitate critical self reflection drawing attention to unconscious biases. Her expertise has bridged the gap between the vision of being an inclusive organization and actioning those goals in an intentional and strategic manner. She explores organizational culture with an equity lens to shed light on opportunities for growth.\n\n\n\nProudly sponsored by:
